Rare NFLD Book 1813 The Royal Newfoundland Regiment's Role in one of the World's Twenty Famous Naval
I found information about The Royal Newfoundland Regiment’s Role in one of the World’s Twenty Famous Naval Battles, Lake Erie by Dr. Robert Saunders (sometimes also titled Newfoundland’s Role in the Historic Battle of Lake Erie, September 10th, 1813). Here’s what I found regarding its publication, what it is, and what its likely value is. If you send details of your copy (condition, presence of dust jacket, any inscriptions, etc.), I can give a more accurate estimate.
What the Book Is
-
Title(s): The Royal Newfoundland Regiment's Role in One of the World's Twenty Famous Naval Battles, Lake Erie, September 10, 1813; also known as Newfoundland’s Role in the Historic Battle of Lake Erie, September 10th, 1813.

What It Is Not
-
It is not an 1813 original publication; the 1813 in the title refers to the date of the Battle of Lake Erie. The book itself was published in 1954.
What Drives Its Collectible Value
Here are the features that tend to raise or lower its value:
| Good for Value If… | |
|---|---|
| - First edition of the 1954 printing - Hardcover in good condition - All 18 plates present, images clean - Binding solid, minimal cover wear or fading - Possibly signed by the author or with interesting provenance - Clean pages, crisp print - Historically relevant subject (Newfoundland, War of 1812) |
