Terms
The following Terms and Conditions are agreed to by all participants upon registration and by placing bids in this auction.
1. Registration and Acceptance
Binding Agreement
All bidders must register for an account and agree to these Terms and Conditions. By placing a bid, the bidder acknowledges and accepts all terms outlined herein.
Eligibility
Bidders must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Canada or the United States unless otherwise approved by East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables.
Registration Information
All registration information provided, including name, address, phone number, and email address, must be current, complete, and accurate.
2. Auction Information
Fees
There are no additional auction fees or buyer’s premiums charged.
Online Auction
All auctions are conducted online only.
Lot Viewing
Auction lot viewing is available from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the day of auction closing unless otherwise stated.
Auction Duration
Auctions are generally conducted as 3-day or 10-day events, typically running from Friday through Monday. Please refer to individual auction listings for exact closing times.
Closing Times
Specific lot closing times are displayed once the auction becomes active.
3. Bidding
"As Is, Where Is"
All items are sold “as is, where is,” with all faults, imperfections, and deficiencies. No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are provided regarding condition, authenticity, merchantability, or fitness for purpose.
Final Sale
All sales are final. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be permitted.
Binding Bids
Once placed, bids may not be cancelled or retracted.
Soft Close / Extended Bidding
If a bid is placed within the final two (2) minutes of a lot’s closing time, the bidding period for that lot will automatically extend by an additional two (2) minutes. Extensions will continue until no further bids are placed.
Reserve Prices
Certain items may be subject to reserve pricing. The auctioneer reserves the right to bid on behalf of the seller up to the reserve amount.
Secondary Bid Promotion
In cases involving non-payment, bidding errors, or other exceptional circumstances, East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables reserves the right to offer the lot to the next highest bidder.
Successful Bidders
Winning bidders will receive email notification following lot closure. Final invoices will be issued once all lots within the auction have closed.
4. Payment
Invoices
Invoices will be emailed to winning bidders within 24 hours of auction close. All prices and payments are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
Taxes
No tax applies to qualifying .999 fine silver or .999 fine gold bullion products. All other items are subject to applicable Canadian taxes. Orders shipped to the United States are not subject to Canadian sales tax.

Payment Surcharge
Payments made through PayPal or by credit card are subject to a 3% processing surcharge.
Payment Deadline
Payment must be received or arranged within three (3) days of auction close. Failure to remit payment within this timeframe may result in:

cancellation of the sale,

the lot being awarded to the next highest bidder,

re-auctioning of the item, and/or
-
suspension or removal of bidding privileges.

5. Shipping
Shipping Options
Local / Regular Shipping
Untracked and uninsured shipping may be offered at the discretion of East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables for lower-value invoices. By selecting this option, the bidder accepts full responsibility and liability for any loss, theft, or damage occurring during transit.
Express / Registered Shipping
Tracked and insured shipping is the preferred shipping method and is required for higher-value shipments.
Shipping Release
All invoices must be paid in full prior to shipment release.
Non-Shippable Items
Certain items may not be eligible for shipping. These items will be clearly identified within the auction listing or title.
Shipping Locations
Shipping is available within Canada and the continental United States only. All U.S. shipments are subject to approval at the discretion of East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables.
6. Pickup
Pickup Timeframe
Buyers who do not require shipping are responsible for picking up their items within one (1) week of auction close.
Pickup typically begins two (2) days after auction close. Pickup instructions, available times, and office hours will be included with the winning invoice and may also be posted on our website.
7. Limitation of Liability
Technical Issues
East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables shall not be held responsible for technical failures or disruptions, including but not limited to internet outages, website malfunctions, delayed connections, or missed bids.
Description Errors
While all descriptions are believed to be accurate, East Coast Coins, Auctions and Collectables does not guarantee the accuracy of item descriptions and shall not be held responsible for errors or omissions.
Bidders are encouraged to report any suspected description errors to support@eastcoastcoins.ca. Any necessary corrections will be made as promptly as possible and communicated to active bidders where appropriate.
